Investigation Status: The CSB's final report was released at a news conference in Torrance, California, on May 3, 2017.  The CSB may issue a second volume of the ExxonMobil Torrance Refinery investigation report pending the outcome of litigation in U.S. District Court and receipt of relevant documents.   As part of a full all-cause investigation, the continued investigation may explore risks related to the near miss event involving the alkylation unit, which the CSB has yet to evaluate.
